Long Month...Little Running

So this has been a long, cold month of very little running. Things are going well with Baby S and I have been potty training Aiden--so we should soon be out of diapers and solely wearing Big Boy UNDERPANTS! I have ran a few miles, but no where near where I want to be--how wonderful it would be if the treadmill fairy dropped one off in my living room (or if the FREE Gym membership fairy came by!) I find that with REALLY cold temps...I cannot run with Aiden as much--I try to wait for the warmest parts of the days so that he is not too cold. I am trying to get out today for an evening run (I was supposed to hit the road at 5AM-well that didn't happen). So hopefully I will get out there tonight and get another post in afterwards...

Missing the run...

So I have not ran since New Years Day. I feel like such a bum! I had the weekend off as Rest Days, yesterday just did not work out for me. Since I run with Aiden, I have to take into account the cold. Lately it has been VERY cold, for middle Tenn, so I have been trying to wait and run with him in mid afternoon, when it is warmest, but I did not get out there yesterday. Instead I talked with a friend, whom I have not heard from since moving from Illinois and I found out she was pregnant too! Due 1 day before me! So we had a great time catching up and by the time we were off the phone, the sun was gone.

I am thinking about changing my running routine--at least while the weather is still so cold. Instead of running with Aiden (I don't want him to get sick) I am going to *try* to get up around 5:45-6 and run before Aaron leaves for work. I think it will work out better, especially now that I am getting my energy back! So we will have to give it a try tomorrow morning and see how it goes!

First Annual Melissa Stormer Resolution Run 5K!

I started out the year with a 5k race/run. Baby S and I went out Luther Lake and ran 5k, then walked a mile. It was a great spend time in prayer and thinking about how the past year has changed me and challenged me to grow spiritually and in my marriage. This has been such a season of change. I am looking forward to 2010!

My run was great, it was very nice to get out and run. I ran the furthest that I have since finding out that I was pregnant. It was definitely slower than I ran pre-pregnancy but I was pretty consistent, I ran each mile around 10 min. Today is typically an off day, but I thought what a way to start the New Year~

God is Good ALL the Time!
